I fell in love with nature & the outdoors and discovered at a young age that a great way to express my feelings was through painting. I continued this passion through high school & College. I grew up in the South during a time when everyone spent all daylight hours outside. I fell in love with nature & the outdoors and discovered at a young age that a great way to express my feelings was through painting. I continued this passion through high school & College. As it turned out life took me down a different path as I became an Insurance Professional until retiring in 2009. Although my Career was not in the Arts, I always kept my love for painting & decided to focus on my art once I retired. I have been married to my husband Mike for the past 30+yrs. and we have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. We moved to Phoenix AZ, in 2003 and the Sonoran Desert became a great subject matter for my art. I hope that my art makes you smile & brings you happiness as it does me when I am creating it.

My Background
I use many different media, such as watercolor, acrylics, and pen. I believe that working in a single media is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.

I enjoy traveling, going on nature walks, bird watching, flower gardening in my backyard, &spending time with friends and family especially when it includes the outdoors. Many of my pieces are directly influenced by these inspirations. I love painting plants, flowers, & wildlife.
